Does AI Touch Our Data During a Cirro Implementation?

Does AI touch our data during the build?

Most of the AI-assisted work on an implementation happens against system structure rather than your business records: field definitions, layouts, workflow logic, and requirements documents. Where a task genuinely requires access to real records, such as a data migration, what is accessed and how it is handled is agreed with you in writing before the work starts.

The distinction that matters

Designing a CRM does not require reading your customer list. It requires knowing what a customer record contains, how records relate to each other, and what should happen when one changes. That is structure and metadata, and it is where the majority of AI-assisted work sits.

Migration is different, because the task is the records themselves. Cirro's privacy policy states that we do not collect or store end-customer or confidential business data belonging to our clients unless explicitly required and consented to in writing for a specific project. Migration is exactly the kind of project where that written consent is obtained, with the scope of what is accessed defined up front.

Cross-border handling

Cirro does not transfer personal data outside India by default. Where a project requires cross-border processing, that happens only with explicit client consent and in line with applicable law. The full position is set out in the Cirro privacy policy.

What this means for you

If your project is configuration and design, your records are largely not in scope. If it involves migration or anything touching live data, ask for the handling terms in writing at proposal stage. You should expect a specific answer about what is accessed, by whom, and for how long, rather than a general reassurance.
